Front-End Developer

PartyPPL is the complete nightlife agenda for the Netherlands and Belgium, and the website is the product: a full app, not a marketing site. Visitors find their night there, say they are going, chat with their friends and buy tickets with Apple Pay or iDEAL. Organisers manage their nights, door and sales there.

As a front-end developer you work on:

• The visitor side: the agenda (list, map and calendar), event pages, chat, tickets and profile, in Dutch and English.
• The organiser portal and the admin.
• Speed and accessibility: server-side rendering, good Core Web Vitals, keyboard and screen reader support, light and dark.
• Turning designs into components that fit our house style.

Our stack: React Router 7 with server-side rendering, TypeScript, CSS with our own design tokens, MapLibre for the map, Vitest and Playwright. The server runs on Node with SQLite. You work closely with the rest of the team and ship in small steps, with tests.

• A few years of experience with React and TypeScript in production.
• You write CSS that works on a phone and on a big screen, without a framework doing it for you.
• You care about accessibility and speed, and measure them.
• You write tests for what you build.
• You communicate clearly in Dutch or English.

Experience with server-side rendering (React Router, Remix or Next.js), PWAs or maps is a plus. A love for nightlife too.
